There is always ''The Nuclear Option''. Pop the OS disk in and format the entire computer. No virus yet made can survive that.

But before going so drastic, try any of the numerous anti-virus programs on the market. Norton is the most popular.

if you are willing to spend 30 bucks a year, try webroot's spysweeper. it does great with all those trojans and will keep it secure. although it is a resource hog. and i only turn it on to do a scan and remove on my daughter's computer
AVG is a good one. Even if you scan it and it tells you the name of the virus, you can then google the name of the virus and most of the time you can find simple step by step manual removal instructions. I prefer this way myself because then you know what has happened. This way you know nothing was changed or quarantined that may cause other problems.

Just remember if you are going to do this and you need to remove any registration keys its good to make a backup copy of any keys that you remove in case it turns out it has done damage you can put it back or find a replacement from the net.
