Get rid of the trojan virus. i did, i think?

i downlaoded lavasoft ad aware and i ran it on my computer and theni removed it. so like none of the virus things come up and more but then the next day they were all coming back.

someone told me that the virus can save itself in your computer and come back if you delete it.

is this true?

If you are running Windows ME or Windows XP, it is advised that you should turn off your system restore, run the removal programs, and when the system is clean. Then go back and turn system restore back on.

If you have system restore turned off, then I advise running a better removal program such as the Free Superantispyware found at http://www.superantispyware.com . Get the Free Home version.

Download it, Install it, and 1st check for an update. Then click to Scan the Computer and chose Complete Scan. Sit back and let it do it's job. Scanner usually takes an hour or more to completely scan your system. When it's Finished, remove what it found.

First, update and run your security programs.

If this does not get rid of the little bugger, go to a free site and have it scan your computer (e.g., trendmicro or pestscan). The scan will give you the address of this pest where you can navigate to and manually remove it.

2 Days ago I downloaded something that f**ked up my cpu. Norton Anti Virus detected the following ''Backdoor.GrayBird, Adware.NDotNET, CainAbel, Adware.UCMore''

I am positive I got the backdoor off but just to make sure post that

NDotNET I have no clue how i got it and have been attemping to remove ever sence it does not work what does it do? when you click on links sometimes it redirects to one of their advertised pages the most common one being ebay

UCMore I uninstalled that a long time ago it was an addon that scans for rss feeds on the page so i am absoultly sure all that is off

First, make sure your anti-virus and spyware protection programs are updated (current). If you do not have a separate spyware protection program, download and update one (some of what you describe is spyware, not virus, and anti-virus programs may find them but not fix them).

Then turn off your system restore and restart in safe mode (F8 while restarting).

Run full-system scans/repairs/deletes.

Reboot into normal mode.

Turn on system restore.
